This is the optional A/D converter card for the High Level PIU, used when the HL PIU scans analog inputs.
This card can be used in any release of the HL PIU.
This A/D converter converts the analog singnal into a 12-bit digital signal, which is passed in parallel to the microprocessor. The analog input cards which require the use of this A/D converter card are the 4DP7APXIA111, 4DP7APXIA122, 4DP7APXIA211, 4DP7APXIA222, 4DP7APXIA311, 4DP7APXIA322, 4DP7APXIA411, and 4DP7APXIA422.
The Analog to Digital (A/D) converter is factory calibrated. If board has problems it should be swapped with a factory calibrated board. Manufacture does not recommend recalibrating the A/D board, but in emergency situations calibration can be done.
This is the cable interface card for the Multifunction Controller, PIUs, and DHP. It has BNC connectors on the card edge to connect the hiway A and B cables to these devices.
The function of this card upon receiving data is to accept data from the Hiway, check its validity, and pass it along to the Hiway DMA card for additional processing. For transmission of data, this card adds the BCH code, then transmits the data on the Hiway.
This card has 2 LEDs, which when illuminated indicate the active Hiway, A or B
This is the I/O Bus Controller card for the High Level PIU, R320A and R320B.
This version of the I/O Bus Controller is used in High Level PIUs with the 4DP7APXPM144 and 4DP7APXPM155 PROM/RAM board.
The I/O Bus Controller card adapts the microprocessor bus to the signal and timing requirements of the PIU's I/O bus and A/D converter. It also performs diagnostic functions on the I/O section of the PIU, to prevent incorrect I/O card or point selection, to verify correct operation of the I/O clocks, to detect shorts between in the I/O the integrity of I/O address and data
Revision "D" or earlier may cause database corruption, use Rev "E" or higher.
